Patience is a virtue in this business, so don't get discouraged if you don't sell with the first or the second responder message. Hopefully with your persistency the potential client will recognize who you are and what you're attempting to market.
Once you've finished one campaign you should have another campaign already built and ready to market your next opportunity. Be consistent with your logo and the way you write so the customer will be familiar with your style and delivery.
For years the only marketing tools that were available was newspapers, radio, television, magazines, direct mail,message boards,banners and other methods of marketing that was effective for that era. One should consider a blend of online and offline media sources especially if you want to focus on a local market. Each of these venues can become powerful in conjunction with your e-mail campaigns. By using both online and offline advertising will permit you to reach a much broader audience than just promoting with the single approach method.
With any of your email campaigns, make it easy for the user to be able to contact you by using a simple contact form at the end of each e-mail so the user can opt-in. This is a tremendous way to build a valuable e-mail list. The old saying "you're only as good as your email list" is so true. Your email database can become one of your most valuable assets. Protect it with your life if necessary.
Not all of these combinations we've discussed so far may or may not work for you, however, it won't take you long to determine which ones your purpose and then proceed with vigor with the combination that best suits your niche market.
I read some statistics recently that indicated that 85% of people will do any online search for a product or service of interest before the actually go out and buy the product. Online users are savvier now and know exactly what they are looking for. They're already informed before they go out to actually make the purchase. The intent here is to make your name and product recognizable for the user and people will relate your product to your name and your company. This is called branding.
Possibly a potential buyer is not currently looking to purchase anything right now, however, if you consistently advertise, promote and keep your name and company name and logo in front of the consumers, your chances of selling that individual something down the road becomes much greater. Branding works for selling now and for future sales as well.
If you use only one advertising strategy at a time you may see some changes in your sales and web site traffic, however, by using multiple venues and strategies you will enjoy faster growth if you have your programs properly formatted. If you feel you need to make changes to your marketing strategies, then only change one of your marketing tools at a time. This will help you evaluate which program is working efficiently and which program may have questionable elements.
If you can't determine which strategy is working and not working you may want to implement some form of a survey and ask the viewers to fill out a short questioner with positive and/or negative remarks. You may have to offer some incentive for the reader to take the time to fill out the form, so be prepared to offer a free e-book relative to your business or possibly an inexpensive item from your inventory.
