Implementing Google Ad Sense In Your Overall Marketing Plan
Adsense is an important element of marketing and should be considered when putting together your overall marketing plan. The Adsense concept here is quite simple. Write a small advertisement consisting of a couple short sentences and post the ad in the Google AdSense format as follows. Google AdSense ads can have 25 characters for the title, 70 characters for the ad text, and 35 characters for the displayed URL. Spaces and punctuation marks are considered as characters.
When ask how much you're willing to pay on a click thru, tell Google how much to debit your account each time someone clicks on your advertisement. The more you agree to pay Google the closer to the top of the sponsored ads your information will appear. The balance in your Ad Sense account will be depleted in proportion to the amount of your predetermined stated amount every time someone clicks on your ads.
Depending on how much you've agreed to pay Google for each click will determine where your advertisement will appear in the sponsored links. These ads appear on the right side of the query results page (often referred to as sponsored ads) or at the beginning of the search results in a mild tinted colored area when a query is made and the results are displayed.
It's any ones guess of how effective this process may be, however, Google makes money either way whether or not a person buys your product or service is of no concern to Google. This method of advertisement is often referred to as PPC (pay per click) and in reality is not a bad way to begin your marketing career in order to generate some traffic to your business opportunity quickly.
It's important that you understand how the Google Adsense works in a bit more detail. When you log into your personal Google Adsense account, the first place you should look is in the Activity section of the account. This will make it so much easier to see what your past experience has been with this method of advertisement. Knowing how to do the process and taking into consideration whether or not it's working and paying for itself really makes a lot of sense before you get to far involved with this process.
In the report you'll see how much money your Adsense account has made to date by reviewing your previous ads that you've promoted in the past. Use this information to determine the effectiveness of this type of advertising. Depending on how much traffic and conversion to sales that your past campaigns have generated should give you a good indicator of whether this method of promotion is best for your overall objectives.
Your effectiveness will depend largely on whether or not your ads have captured the attention of qualified buyers, or if a number of people where just curious and clicking thru just to see what your site is all about. Some of your competition could even click thru several times just to deplete your Adsense account balance to try to discourage you from continuation of this method of advertising. Sometimes you competition can be ruthless. If they get caught, or should I say when they get caught, this type of action is consider as a felony offense if convicted.
NOTE: Your ads must be relative to the printed content of what appears in the web site you're trying to promote.
In your Adsense account you'll see a count on page impressions, view pertinent information regarding your account, important stats as well as how to contact support. You'll be able to see the number of click thru transactions often referred to as CTR. The term eCPM (effective cost per thousand impressions) will also be shown. This is excellent information to consider when determining whether your effort in this type of promotion is cost effective. To understand how this information is determined is rather simple. Divide your total money made by the number of page impressions in thousands. The bottom line of this whole process is how much you've earned by using this venue of advertising.
There are other ad networks online that you may consider. Google has earned a lot of recognition with their Adsense program and is used by many different organizations for various reasons. Google's name recognition and simplicity of understanding on how to use the program just to name a couple. Others use the Google system because even a novice can get started generating traffic quickly. The Adsense program requires no technical knowledge and provides an excellent, clear and easy to understand instruction section.
Google's Adsense opportunities includes the features of targeted ads as well as targeted site ads which gives an excellent base for increasing revenues on a broader base than many of the other networks.
Google support team provides in depth support that is configured that even the newbie to this concept can easily understand. As we all know, support is critical especially for someone with limited knowledge of marketing in general, as well as easy support for the most accomplished marketer.
In Summary: Advertising must include multiple options when promoting a business. Google's Adsense program should be considered in your overall marketing plan. It should be incorporated in conjunction with many other different aspects of Search Engine Marketing and Optimization.
