Little Changes That Generate Powerful Results

When studying Search Engine Optimization we conclude that optimizing for the search engines is an integral part of the whole process of successful marketing online. There are literally 100's of thousands of search engines that can be used and each engine has some unique features that makes that engine stand out above some of the other engines it may compete with. We all know that Google commands a substantial lead in popularity with millions of online users. There's a definite reason for that popularity and Google is entitled to any praise and popularity they generate for a job well done.

Today we want to talk about a couple of engines that are becoming more popular every day on the internet. One of these companies truly stands out and there's mixed feelings about some of the tactics that has been used and that Bill Gates doesn't deserve all that wealth. Remember, this is America and those who snooze will lose and those that are willing to take the bull by the horns can and will reap the benefits of their labor.

When Microsoft launched their Search Engine Bing, there was a lot of speculation about how Bing was going to pull off some of their ideas and strategies. From my observation they are doing fantastic and praise is long overdue. Bing is currently Google's biggest rival and Bing is earning some great reviews for their aggressive campaigns in an effort to capture more of the search engine market share. In fact, I was reading the other day that Bing is gradually taking away some of the other search engines thunder because of their aggressive moves that is working to their benefit just like they predicted it would when they launched Bing.

Bing and Google are somewhat different in their approach to search engine algorithms. In this article we want to discuss some of these differences and possibly help you understand that if you're in the business of promoting online that each of these engines can be used to promote your business opportunity and do it in a totally different algorithm atmosphere. Utilizing the features and benefits of these two giants and meeting their guidelines you can without a doubt increase your overall effectiveness when marketing online with any online venture.

The first reaction of many users is that Bing is smaller, totally different and ineffective and that Google is the only other solution. Don't be that narrow minded because if used correctly you can get a lot of mileage out of some the little things with Bing that will enhance your overall positions and ranking standings. The bottom line here is not all the glitz, glamour or cosmetic differences designed for eye appeal. But, the real difference should be considered with the results when you type in a search term in the Bing search query box and look at the relevancy of the search term results that Bing provides. That really should be your bottom line opinion anyway.

The relevancy of other search engines can be compared as well because every search engine uses a slightly different algorithm to establish results on each search query. If a person uses these results to their advantage, you can become popular online very quickly. I personally use 5-6 different engines when doing a comparison and then use the high points of each of those engines in my marketing strategies. It works extremely well for me and until I find a better method I will continue to earn Top Positions on Google, Yahoo, Bing and other fine search engines using these tried and true promotion strategies.

All search engines incorporate a certain amount of secrecy in their algorithms and these secrets are proprietary and not made available to the general public. Really you don't need to know what makes them tick either. What you do need to do is study, incorporate and implement new ideas from the different search engines regarding marketing and promoting any business opportunity online.

By doing some experimentation using different keywords and keyword phrases you can come darned close in determining what you need to do to please several engines at the same time in your promotion efforts. One word of caution here is to never try to promote your opportunity with just one engine. If for whatever reason that engine stumbles or changes their algorithms you will have to start all over in your thinking and marketing endeavors. As the old saying goes "don't put all your eggs in one basket" is so true when it comes to working with any of the search engines.

Today we want to share just a few of the differences that Bing affords for the little guy as well as the fulltime professional marketer. You may want to check out some of these values to see if they will work effectively for you.

Many marketers feel that Bing places less importance on back links than Google. Do some research and see for yourself.

Some feel that Bing places more importance on quality inbound links and less importance on quantity and quality of links in general.

Since Bing puts less importance on the quantity of back links, then link spamming would appear to be less of a problem when compared to Google.

There's some controversy among professionals that Bing puts more emphasis regarding onpage factors than they do with Google.

The age of the domain seems to be more important with Bing than it does with Google.

Some have even expressed there's a concern with how Bing looks at the page rankings compared to Google when performing a search query for competitive keywords and phrases.

Google is constantly looking for fresh new content which doesn't seem as important to Bing.

Google is rather conservative when it comes to flashy web sites and how they rank those sites. Bing is more user friendly to flash sites since more and more promoters are including flash in their web sites trying to generate a larger user base. There must be a well balanced blend here for there to be a successful outcome in your promotional campaigns.

The observations referred to above are suggestions for your research considerations only and are the opinions of this author based on the results of recent search engine optimization techniques that we've experimented with. If you have a different opinion: that OK too. Try some different approaches and see for yourself how some little changes in your strategies can possibly make some huge changes in your marketing efforts.
