Marketing With e-Mail
Changes are consistently happening with regard to marketing in general. Whether you're strictly an online business or have a store front on Main Street U.S.A, marketing is constantly evolving into more advanced, sophisticated methods of communication with potential clients. Let's face it, we are in a communication age where speed to the market place is important as well as being able to target market a particular niche of individuals who may be interested in your products or services.
E-mail marketing is one of the most powerful ways to promote your business opportunity if done correctly. The broad worldwide base of the internet allows promoters to present their business offering to literally millions of individuals and businesses in a matter of seconds with a mere click of the computer mouse.
Over the last few years e-mails has become faster, more effective and acceptable to the general public because of the speed of the process and the ability of the user to click off, delete, or respond to your opportunity all in the privacy of their own home or business.
E-mail marketing has many advantages when conducting any marketing campaign. There are some rules that must be followed when using e-mail and the internet as your promotion medium. We will touch on some of the advantages and disadvantages in a moment.
The speed of e-mail marketing is probably the most important factor for many marketers when compared to most other mediums we use for promoting our business opportunities. Regular mail with the Post Office was the going thing a few years back, however, things change with time. Regular Post Office mailings have earned a reputation in today's marketing arena as snail mail. Being slow in a fast paced society doesn't work very well.
When comparing snail mail to e-mail with potential customers, e-mail wins the battle hands down. The time saved as well as the amount of users that can be reached with e-mail is unchallenged. With the high speed of the internet we enjoy today it only takes seconds for an email to be in front of millions of prospects all around the world.
The cost effectiveness and the broad spectrum of individuals and businesses an e-mail can reach within a matter of seconds is definitely a big plus for e-mails verses any other type of marketing campaign, especially when compared to snail mail, radio and TV.
E-mail knows no boundaries thus permitting anyone to market on a small or large scale if they so desire.
The cost effectiveness we mentioned earlier is a huge consideration for using e-mails as your marketing vehicle. It's extremely cost effective and without a doubt cheaper than any other method for maintaining your current client base, getting new customers to your business or advertising in general regarding new products or services.
The average user today is quite techno-savvy and will relate to any type of email marketing campaign you may choose to promote your business. A word of caution here is to be careful not to spam your clients or potential prospects. There are some very severe penalties that will take place if you're charged with spamming. Don't even try to spamming even once with any campaign you're involved in, because you will get caught eventually.
If you're not familiar with what spamming is all about, you need to take the time before you conduct any campaign and do your research and then follow the rules to avoid any problems regarding spamming.
The internet is all about providing information to prospective clients, not to sell them on your first contact. Your email information should be specific, interesting and affordable with regard your product or service and then point the potential client with a link to your web site which will give the client full information about what you're offering.
A good auto responder follow-up system with several well written follow up messages, properly timed is the best way to become a household name and keep your clients attention. The average person will not buy your opportunity on the first approach, so a systematic follow-up plan is imperative if you want to succeed in your marketing efforts.
Statics show that the average sale is made after the 7th contact with a potential client. Be persistent but not overzealous or pushy with your approach. It's really easy for a potential client to just say no by clicking off your email, never to return again. Remember it's all about good factual information and making it easy for the client to click on the buy button without being obvious about your intent.
