Readers and Search Engines Demand Relevant Content

If you've been marketing online for awhile you already know the importance of good relevant content in any writings you do whether the content is for your web site, an email campaign, auto responder follow up messages, blog, forum or any other medium that you may normally post to. The search engine places a significant amount of weight on relevant content in their algorithms process for ranking purposes. These critical requirements can't be ignored whether you're new to the internet or a seasoned professional marketer.

The question is often asked "why it's so important to write anything once you get your web site up and running?" First of all you must appeal to a niche reading audience with regard to what your site is all about. It's extremely important to stay on subject and provide good, verifiable, factual information regarding your subject for your readers as well as the search engines.

It's also important to meet the guidelines of the search engines with relevant keywords about your subject matter and provide a good balance of prominence, relevancy and frequency of your keywords so the search engines can match your site with search queries submitted by internet users.

Without good relevant keywords that blend well into the content of your writing you will soon lose the attention of your reading audience as well as killing any chance of good page ranking with the search engines. Your content must be interesting to the reader, stylish in its appearance, informative and unique in its delivery. Content is King with to your reading audience as well as with the search engines.

You must consider what information your reading audience wants to know about the subject of your current writing. If you're writing about how to groom your pet, then inserting something in your article referring to worldwide weather trends would be totally off subject, inappropriate and detrimental to your overall presentation. Whatever niche market you're working with you must keep on subject and make your writing appealing to the reader, answering any anticipated questions that the reader might ask if you were on a face to face interview with the reader.

The quality of your writing is much more important than the quantity of words that you use in trying to impress your readers. It should become a standard practice in your writings to put quality at the forefront of your information to your readers. Always use verifiable facts and figures when writing. Nothing will turn a potential client off quicker than finding an error in your writing format or an obvious error in your information.

You have a duty to your readers of correcting as many spelling and grammatical errors as possible in every writing. Every once in a while you will totally overlook some obvious errors even if you proof read and re-read your manuscript several times. Your readers may overlook a couple of errors; however, having blatant errors in your document is a big turn off for most of us. It's well to spend a little bit of extra time to make sure you're comfortable with your writing and are willing for millions to see how good or bad you actually write. Sloppy writing is an indication that you don't respect other people's intelligence and it will always come back and bite you where it hurts.

Quality content is extremely important in whatever type of writing you're doing. Your writing's is where your potential clients will draw their first impression of you and your business. Always remember, you only have one opportunity to make a good first impression so "don't blow it."

Content means different things to different readers. What some people consider good content is nothing more than rehashed B.S. of another author. Others are more of the technical nature and will require a higher level of presentation in order to meet their intellectual needs. This boils down to a well written article that will be acceptable from a very broad spectrum of readers.

You're not going to reach everyone that reads your writings so don't try. Remember what we said in one of our recent articles that you should always write from the heart. Write what you feel about any issue and you will reach a greater number of groups with your information, simply because they will pick up on your sincerity and respond accordingly.

Your whole focus when writing should be to provide your reading audience with quality, keyword rich, friendly information that's presented factually and to the point. With regard to the search engines you must write search engine friendly, keyword rich content that will help you to achieve good page rankings. This is a blend of two of the most important aspects of marketing that must be incorporated in each of your writings if you want to become successful on the internet.

If you learn to write effectively it is going to require a bit of work for you to come up with an interesting topic, do the research, write the information and then publish your writings to the internet and last but not least to promote your writings to various distribution centers and publishers across the internet.

In Summary: You should always write good quality content for the reading audience as well as the search engines. Poor quality will give you poor results. Good quality will generate positive results. The little bit of extra efforts will make your content attractive, professional, presentable and will pay off with high dividends in the long run, so don't take shortcuts.
