Should a Person Use Templates To Build An Optimized Web Site

There are more and more companies offering some form of web site templates online today than ever before. Some templates are affordable and some are rather pricey. Templates can save a lot of time; however, there are some drawbacks that one should be aware of before you start the process of building a new site using templates. We will discuss the process a bit later in this article. The absolute best scenario for building a new web site is to build it yourself using HTML and designing it exactly as you want. This will take a bit of knowledge of HTML and structuring to build a site correctly. Building a web site in this way you can get you the positive results you're looking for. By building your web site using good source code will also help the search engines index your site much quicker and effectively.

If you use templates that are commonly used, your web site will look like any other site. Using your own ideas and HTML this can be accomplished without a lot of hassle with webmasters and promoters. You must make your site different and your site must stand head and shoulders above your competition to become successful in your marketing efforts.

You must generate good copy balanced with only enough images to convey your business opportunity to the users. Other efforts can be focused on adhering to the rules, guidelines and algorithms of the search engines. Your content must make sense to the users and your site must be constructed for easy access and continuity for the search engines. By using the HTML code mentioned earlier, you can make some little changes that are necessary to meet both of these criteria's.

Many times when you use a template, it may be difficult for the beginner to comprehend the structure and make changes. It depends on how the original template designer built the template, and you may have limited lateral for changing any element of the template without messing up the total structure of the template. I suggest you take a couple of templates and try to modify the template and see exactly what happens. One change in the code could totally wreck the template quickly.

It's imperative to choose a template that will meet your needs, as well as being able to add what you want in the template to get your point across to your niche audience. Many templates may have code that can be changed; however, unless you understand how to use HTML code you may be limited on how much change you can make to satisfy your needs. Just having a web site online is of no value to you or anyone else, unless it meets the needs of the internet users as well as the search engines. If this is a problem, then by all means contact one of our professionals for help. The contact information in the resource box at the end of this article is an excellent place to get started with this process.

I think it's important to talk about some of the pros and con's regarding flash in your site construction. If most of the content is presented in flash, most search engines won't index your content. Search engines don't read flash, images, scrolling text and iframes. Many of the search engines now require alt tags in the source code before they will index a site. If this concept is foreign to you, then "we need to talk." If you can't rank well with the search engines, users will probably never find your site results, because the search results will appear too deep in the search results to be found. This is especially true if you're trying to promote your business opportunity in a very competitive category. Most people who search for a product or service normally will not look past page one or maybe page two to find what they're looking for. If your search results appear on page 10, 50 or 100 you'll probably get little to no traffic to your site. It takes traffic to get customers which can be converted into clients.

You may be confused about how to build a site that is user friendly as well as search engine friendly. Let me share with you some basics that will help you accomplish your goals when building or modifying a web site.

If you can make your site attractive to the users and consistently add new content to your site, you will have a better chance of users coming back to your site again and again. This can be accomplished by writing article and posting to article directories, blogs and forums. Make sure you have as much contact information as possible in the author's resource box at the end of your writings. Have an opt-in or feedback form associated with your writings for the user's convenience. Inner acting with users is an excellent way to build online credibility as well as accumulate opt-in names for your customer and potential clients list.

The loading time for your web site is vitally important. If your site has a lot of junk in your source code, then your site may take awhile to load. The servers may time out before they can read all the junk code in your site and then show search results. Users will likely become impatient, and click off and go elsewhere. The more time it takes for your site to load for viewing, the more possibility you will never see that customer again. A well balanced site should have limited flash, must have good quality HTML code with good quality relevant content to present the text and graphical information correctly.
