Search Engine Optimization Tips

For the next few day in my articles we will be discussing some valuable information about various marketing topics.  By following these writings, and implementing the information in these articles to your site, you will be able to earn higher page ranks with the search engines. You too can earn "Top Positions on Google."

Most of us have some knowledge regarding many of these topics, because we use some of these suggestions in our site on a regular basis.

By making some small modifications to our websites, you can make your sites more user friendly as well as more search engine compliant.  These changes may be simple and other changes may become a major restructuring of our existing website. We will hopefully be sharing with you some fresh ideas that you can incorporate into your present site.

Sometimes you may have to acquire the services of the professionals to get the maximum effectiveness out of our business opportunity. Hi my name is Larry L Miller SEM/SEO Consultant, and my eBiz Solutions Team will show you how to make your site more effective.

If we look at only individual items for optimization, the changes may seem minimal, however, by combining all the things suggested you should see a noticeable impact on your potential clients as well as in your placement in organic search engine results.

A few examples of changes we may suggest will include taking a close look at the title of your site. Remember, you must keep the visitors interest in mind. Is the title of your site keyword specific enough that it will blend with the customers search they entered in the Google Search Bar? If the proper keyword or keyword phrase is included in your site title you potential client will relate to it immediately because that is what they typed in the search.

Putting all your concentration on specific tweaks that may help you gain page ranks in the organic search engine results may not give you the results you thought it would. Search Engine Optimization is nothing more than putting your best efforts when you're trying to gain visibility on the search engines.

When you're putting together a website you must be specific about your website business name. If you're selling a product or service make sure the name of the product or service is in the website name. Don't hesitate to put your name in the title if you want to gain name popularity along with promoting your business opportunity.

It is advisable to have your name and product in the domain as well. Many consultant prefer a .com address instead of some of the others such as .net, .org, .biz and the list goes on and on.  I personally like the .com if at all possible.

You need to list some of your best keywords or phrases regarding what your product or service is all about. If you're promoting baseball cards for example....use several keyword phrases that you know will turn the potential client's head.  Ex: Rare Mickey Mantle card From 1951, when he hit .267 as a 19-year-old Yankees rookie...This will get the attention of any Mickey Mantle collector or fan. Use laser focused keyword and phrases in your website.

There are no rules that I am aware of regarding size of your site. I have heard people say keep your site small.....under 250 pages.  Who's going to go through 250 should use enough pages to give the customer enough information to make an informed choice with pertinent information that will answer their questions about your services.

It is important you create a unique, accurate page title which is unique to each page of your site. The tag must be placed within the tags of the HTML document. If you are fortunate enough for your site to appear in a search results page, the contents of the tag will usually appear in the very first line of the results.

Each search engine has a bit different way they will post the results of any search query. Usually the words in the title will be bold it they appear in the search query. This helps the user to recognize that the page is  likely relevant to their search.
