Should You Pay Per Click or Promote Organically

There are numerous ways to build an online presence using search engine optimization. There are some hard fast rules that must be followed to become a successful marketer if you want to make money online. There are some smart little tricks that can be incorporated into your marketing strategies that will help you become even more powerful in your marketing endeavors.

The search engines primary function is to help you generate traffic to your websites. In addition to generating traffic the engines will help promote your website on the World Wide Web and will help you to build a solid foundation for a strong web presence.

There are basically two ways you can promote your website with the search engines. These two areas have different functions and can be implemented separately, or can be used in unison to earn the best optimization strategies and still meet the algorithms of the search engines for effective marketing online.

One of the ways is to utilize the pay per click method in which some marketers earn some high dollar incomes from this process. The other method is to do everything organically which takes longer, however, will survive the long range goals of good rankings that most of us are truly interested in accomplishing.

The pay per click method can be a rather expensive way of advertising and once you quit paying for your high positions your popularity will disappear immediately. With the organic methods you must be determined, persistent and consistent in your marketing efforts to earn those top positions that everyone is striving for. Online marketing is a very competitive endeavor and you need to take advantage (within reason) of every available method possible to promote your business opportunity effectively.

Many individuals are old school and feel that paying outlandish prices to earn top positions on Google, Yahoo and Bing is just wrong and will not give the pay per click sites a second look. Working these two different marketing strategies together will get your where you want to be and keep you there for a longer period of time.

If you're on a limited budget, then the organic method of promoting is probably the best option for you to pursue. The benefits here are rather permanent and the costs are absolutely free. Sure you have some time involved to make it all happen and time is money, however, you must do what you gotta do when it comes to marketing effectively online.

By using the organic methods discussed here you will earn rankings that will last forever if you keep adding new content to your web site on a regular basis plus you won't run the risk of losing your ranking positions you've worked so hard for.

With the pay per click methods, once you quit paying those high dollar bids to obtain those top positions your opportunity will virtually disappear immediately unless you have incorporated some form of organic methods into your overall marketing activities.

With the organic methods you have avoided the high cost of doing business and your positions will continue to earn higher rankings. Sure the pay per click may be a bit faster; however, if you are in this business for the long term, it doesn't take a rocket expert to see which of these methods make the most sense.

As with anything else regarding online marketing there are certain things one must plan for and consider when doing any marketing campaign. If you want to pursue the pay per click method then you should do some research and do some monetary calculations and if you're still convinced with what you come up with, then by all means go for it.

There are some basic guidelines you must establish for yourself when doing any type of marketing campaign. You must know your websites purpose like the back of your hand and be able to articulate every aspect of your website and campaign to the online users before you ever begin the actual process of promoting a campaign. You must be able to convey the values of your website to the online user in a way that will excite them regarding doing business with you. Why?? Because you have something to offer them that will benefit their everyday lifestyle and fulfill their immediate needs. You only have one chance to make a good first impression.

You must be able to present a clear and concise written commentary about what your product or service is all about. Once you've touched their needs then comes' the chore of presenting a dialogue that will make them like your opportunity so well, they want to purchase your product or service right now. Then comes the all important question of how much does it cost? If your content is well done and you can convince the user they need it, like it and can afford it then and only then will you make the sale. If any of these steps are out of place or don't exist, then your end results will be less than favorable.

If you're marketing multiple items on your site then it's suggested that you have a separate page for each of your items rather than mix them all on one page which requires the user to make too many choices. This will give you an opportunity to promote each individual product or service individually and you will experience a far better closing ratio.

You can actually generate keyword specific splash pages on the different items too, linking one page to the next page in the form of a daisy chain. This will generate tons of links and back links as well. Keywords are for sure one of the most important roles in organic Search Engine Optimization.

When a user types a search term in the search area of their favorite search engine the search engines looks in their data base for a match of keywords or phrases the user just ask for information about. If your keywords and phrases match the search engine data base query requested by the user, then the engines will display the search results and recommend your site as one of the sites for review by the user. Hopefully your site will be on page one of the search engines.

Just throwing some so called keywords into your source code or content of your website isn't going to cut it. Your keywords and phrases must be relevant to what's in your web site for your site to be effective.
